How a discussion runs.
From the first field to the archived record, with the numbers that apply.
- Title and body.
Up to 80 characters of plain-text title and 1,000 characters of body in Markdown.
- Deadline.
The discussion is live from the moment it is created. You choose the end date and time, and the organiser can change them later.
- Participants.
Search by username and add people one by one, or add a saved group. There is no limit on how many people you invite; the free allowance holds three groups, and only their owner can see them.
- Invitation.
A 64-character code, shown as a link and as a QR code. The same code works for signing up and for logging in, so a newcomer lands directly in the discussion. The preview shows the title, the body, the dates and, if you enable it, the first answer anyone has posted.
- Password.
Optional. It gates joining, and can also gate the preview shown from the link.
- Attachments.
One file up to 512 KB on the free allowance, from the listed document and image types. Any participant can download it; only the organiser can remove it.
- Answers and comments.
Answers up to 1,000 characters in Markdown, comments under each answer, one level deep. An answer stays editable until someone comments on it and can be deleted only while it has no comments. Your own comments can be edited or deleted at any time.
- Votes.
Every participant rates every answer that is not their own from −3 to +3. While the discussion runs you see only your own vote.
- Refresh.
New answers appear within a minute, new invitations within five. There is no live typing indicator and no notification.
- Archive.
Within about a minute of the deadline the discussion moves to the archive: read-only, with the organiser's username, the author of every answer and comment, the participant list and the vote tallies. Any participant can download it as a JSON file and read it offline in the app without logging in.
